Mint Wine Recipe
Mint wine is a delicious medium dry white that helps use the glut of summer and autumnal mint in the garden and allotment.
The method for making mint wine is not only easy and satisfying, yet creates a complex and delicious glass!

The Method
- Dissolve the 1.3kg of sugar in 4 litres of boiling water in a large saucepan.
- Add the mint leaves to the pan along with a teabag and lemon juice.
- Bring to the boil and simmer on a medium heat for 30-60 mins (The longer it simmers, the stronger the minty flavour!)
- Allow to cool to room temp and add to a clean demijohn.
- Add yeast and nutrient.
- Fit the lid and airlock.
- Allow to ferment till dry.
- Rack as and when needed and store for 6 months before bottling
