A new reason to waggle!
We have been blessed by a couple of really beautiful summer days here on Eday. It is a start of June and it has been extremely sunny and there was very little wind (comparatively speaking, of course - we are on an island in Orkney!). The temperature hasn’t risen much above 13C (56F) and so the hats stayed on, but we take what we get and gratefully enjoy it.

And enjoying it we were! A couple of days ago we discovered a new beautiful beach and decided to call it “The Caves”. It is a truly wonderful place boasting a sandy coastline and eroded cliffs making the location look super magical and mysterious. I already wrote an article about this place, including a lot of really stunning photographs - take a look here, you’ll see what I mean!
Sunny days coupled with a newly discovered beach and a pack of two highly excitable dogs meant that we spent every day of the last week playing in the crashing waves, chasing a ball, barking at birds and generally having a really good time! The word “Caves” has really left a lasting impression on our companions - Sam, who usually is so calm and collected becomes such an excited puppy at after hearing this word, and Charlie starts knocking cushions off a sofa with his excited waggle dance!

Seeing as The Caves are so close, there was no reason not to keep the doggy friends appeased and happy! Hopefully, there will be more sunny days in the coming summer months so we can be back time and again to play and enjoy this beautiful place!
Below is a photo gallery showing just how much fun the puppies were having and after that you can see a video of what the fuss is all about!
